Eligibility and requirements
Money Maximum loan amount: up to $50,000 with at term over 5 years from Futurpreneur + up to $25,000 from BDC with a term over five years BDC repayment: Interest is charged at BDC’s current floating base rate + 1.65% BDC charges a $50 processing fee, which is deducted from the initial loan disbursement Futurpreneur: Interest-only payments: first year Repayments of principal in equal monthly instalments together with interest: over remaining 4 years Interest is charged at RBC’s prime rate + 3% You Must self-identify as Black Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and you physically reside in Canada Are aged 18-39 at the time of application; Are looking to launch a business or have been operating your business for less than one year. In addition: When there are only two partners (owners) of the applicant business, the business must be majority Black-owned (> 50%).
