Eligibility and requirements
Money Minimum $1.5 million Maximum $5 million Project duration up to 5 years Funding limits This program will cover a maximum of 75% of eligible costs Stacking: You can combine money from this program with money from other government programs up to a total maximum of 100% Your project Must pursue one of the following pathways: Development of an innovative advanced material(s) or component(s) Development of an innovative process(es) to produce advanced materials or components Start at a TRL between 3 - 6 Target both a clean energy and a defence end-use application
How it works
To apply, applicants must complete and submit their Expression of Interest (EOI) via the application portal by 1:00 p.m. ET on July 3, 2026. The CFP’s project selection process has two phases:• EOI phase, open to all eligible applicants • Full Project Proposal (FPP) phase, open to invited applicants only
